At Warwick school, we seek to provide a world-class, all-round education, within a safe, caring community in which all boys are able to realise their full potential, such that they are happy at Warwick School and leave as responsible, resilient and compassionate young men of character, equipped to succeed in a changing world.

Our school motto is ‘Altiora Peto’, meaning ‘I seek higher things’. It is repeated often and informs all that we try to do as a school community. We believe the values that are encapsulated in this motto are also to be found in our learning values:

  • Courage and Perseverance
  • Responsibility and Humility
  • Curiosity and Creativity

We seek these ‘higher things’ in all areas of school life:

  • Academic excellence. We aim to enable pupils to achieve their academic potential by developing a spirit of intellectual curiosity, the confidence to persevere in the face of difficulties and a lifelong enjoyment of learning.
  • Outstanding pastoral care. We foster a safe, caring and happy community, based on Christian values of humility, courtesy and good manners, in which the well-being of each individual is paramount, irrespective of their background, and in which boys grow to be confident, but not arrogant.
  • An extra-curricular programme that delivers both excellence and opportunity for all. We offer a very broad range of activities with the objective of striving for excellence whilst also offering the widest participation possible, so that every boy has the opportunity to learn responsibility for himself and others.
  • A sense of community. We seek to help our boys embrace the world around them and appreciate that we are part of a greater whole, socially, morally and spiritually, with an obligation to serve as engaged, responsible citizens both within the School and wider Foundation, and within the local and global community.
  • Recruit, retain and develop exceptional staff. We aim to appoint hard-working, talented and inspirational staff who are deeply committed to the School and who, in turn, feel valued and supported to develop as professionals.
  • The development and maintenance of our site and facilities. We look to maintain our current provision at the highest levels and continue to develop first-class facilities to support all areas of school life.
