Young people need to be increasingly adaptable, independent and confident; our curriculum provides the diversity and flexibility to match all student needs to give them the experience and qualifications to enable them to achieve their goals and aspirations.
Our Key Stage 3 curriculum across years 7 and 8 is designed to provide a broad and balanced approach and prepare them for Key Stage 4.
Our Key Stage 4 curriculum is designed to stretch and challenge the most able with a range of GCSE courses including triple science, english and mathematics, a range of foundation subjects as well as the opportunity to progress to advanced qualifications as appropriate. In addition to the core offer of subjects for all students, we have a full mix of academic and vocational courses.
For some students we have introduced a range of alternative courses best matched to ensure that they achieve appropriate qualifications.
Citizenship, religious education and PSHE (personal, social and health education) are considered vital parts of the curriculum on offer, whether through discrete lessons or through specific activities delivered throughout the year. This compliments and supports our ethos where we promote equal opportunities for all, irrespective of background, and celebrate cultural richness and diversity both locally and nationally as well as through our extensive international programme
