Job Description

The Royal Hospital School is a leading independent co-educational boarding and day school for 11 – 18 year olds, set in 200 acres of Suffolk countryside overlooking the River Stour.

The Royal Hospital School have the following vacancy

MATRON (FIXED TERM CONTRACT 1 NOVEMBER 2020-31 AUGUST 2021)

We are seeking to appoint a full time matron to assist in the provision of a high level of pastoral care in a girls boarding house. There are approximately 55 pupils in the boarding house.

The successful applicant will have an excellent pastoral understanding of the needs of young people in the relevant age group, the ability to liaise closely with parents, and experience of administration and domestic organisation.

Matrons work for 34 weeks of the year and are also expected to assist with occasional evening social functions and with Divisions on five Sundays per year. The successful candidate would be expected to live on site during term time.
